Wall stickers on public display
Choosing between a wall sticker and wall mural can be daunting. After closely comparing them based on our experience, both of them have their pros and cons but the differential factor is based on a simple fact: Money
We’re not going to pair up the pros and cons here but however we will be tackling the myths that surrounds this 2 method based on our experiences and findings.
The followings are the myths of wall stickers and wall murals

Myth #1 – Wall stickers can be removed unlike murals which are permanent.
Yes they can. But little do you know the glue behind the stickers normally leave excess waste sticking dust as time goes by. It will leave a mark on the wall.
Wall stickers stuck too long on walls will separate the exposed surface and beneath the stickers leaving a shadow even though peeled off after a long time.

Example of a peeled off sticker in one of the local shopping malls
Either way, you are required to paint your wall again once you require to remove either art.

Myth #2 – Wall stickers are cheaper
If we are covering only a small size area from about 1m x 1m with stickers that can be purchased from Ikea, yeah, you are absolutely right: Wall stickers are cheaper.
But let’s say if you are covering a large area the size of about 2m x 5m, the cost of printing a custom made sticker and installing of such size would easily cost by the thousand. (Yes, we have silently requested for a quotation lol)
The cost of painting a mural depending on the complexity is entirely in your control.
Murals painters like us depending on the complexity, size and number of colours will quote you with a different but guaranteed much cheaper rate.
This is because painting a mural is so much easier than scaling the printing image, sending it to print at a printing shop, transporting the sticker on site, taking at least 2 men to slowly take a day’s time to set it up. You get the drift. 😉
For example,

Pandas – Bamboo Forest
This is a 3m x 5m wall. The bamboo alone is 2.5m high and the fat panda at the right is 2m wide. Notice there is only 3 colours inside this mural. To paint this mural took about 4 hours for us.
For another example,

Disneyland
We let you decide.

Myth#3 – Stickers finishing quality is better
You are not wrong again! The image as stickers will definitely be perfectly accurate. Like 99.9% accurate.

Bad production quality due to image scaling issues and bad vector design
But little do others know that if exposed under environment few factors such as bubbling, side peeling and shrinkage may appear after a time. Good at the beginning, not so at the end.

After direct expose to moisture
If you wish to have a lasting authentic wall image, mural is the way to go. Imagine going to Penang street to see wall sticker peeling off like. So it might be better to actually stick to wall murals.
Caveman wall murals are able to give you the accuracy of 95% as shown below and since our murals are painted with mural graded paints, it will last much longer and better.

Dinoland
Myth #4 – Wall stickers have better design.
Unless you found the perfect one, Caveman with our image duplicating ability can duplicate any type of pictures as long as it is delivered to us may that be a company logo to Dinoland as depicted above. Stickers are either limited in design being sold on the market or customizing with an expensive price.

Myth#5 – Wall stickers are safer because paint gives out poisonous gases
All wall stickers are made from matte vinyls, a kind of versatile plastic materials commonly used in all plastic products. Mural paints like all paints contains of 3 main ingredients: Binder, solvent and pigment – Harmless
There are no plausible conclusion that which is safer or more dangerous.

In a nutshell, whether a not you might eventually decide to use wall stickers or murals for in your endeavours, just remember the last key principle: Beautifying and harmonying your environment. Both methods only serve that main purpose, nothing else matters when it comes to wall decoration and art.
We hope the Caveman team is able to answer some of your questions and help you in deciding whichever to use.
