Sometimes we take life for granted.

Being a mural artist over the years opened us to a a wide variety of experiences not just in career but in life. I would like to share a heartwarming post of our previous job (above).
This project is a part of an interior design mural of my client.
A lady contacted us to paint a portrait of the family in the living room prior to their daughter’s birthday.
She wanted us to help merge images for her. They provided us with an individual photo each: The dad, the mom and the daughter. So we merged the photos together and came up with the final image.
While I was painting, the lady homeowner came back from work early. We had the opportunity to have a long chat while I do my job.
I personally asked the lady “why and how did you came up with the inspiration for her interior design mural?”
Long story short, she mentioned many of her peers with children have family issues and are on the verge of splitting. This mural is a reminder to the everyone that they are a family and they will cherish each other and bond together till the end. The mural was painted right in front of their bedrooms so once they opened the door in the morning, they will see the huge family portrait together in the living room every single day.
I came from a stable family with no complicated backgrounds and realize how much we can easily take for granted the bliss that we have at the moment and how our parents went through everything and stayed together.
The first time ever, a client actually invited me to stay for dinner. I never felt so grateful towards a client. We had a simple but warm dinner together.
After the job was completed, I left feeling fulfilled and warmth.
The mural has transform their home from a typical Airbnb unit to a home with a personalized touch.
End of the day I received this video hours after their daughter have returned home.
ps. the daughter was saying good night to the portrait.
Knowing I made an impact to the lives of that family, made me ever more in love with my job.
I love my job. 🙂
