The Transformation of a tuition centre

We started to receive more and more drawing requests from the tuition centre till eventually, we had paint every single room of the tuition centre.

Each room has now been named as ‘Forest’, ‘Ocean world’, Bamboo’, ‘Dinoland’ and even ‘Disney land’.

Turns out murals have helped identified rooms in the tuition centre. Instead of room 1 2 3 or ABC, new comers are instantly familiar with the rooms: Math class is in ‘Disneyland’, English is in ‘Forest’.

Students are also more delighted to head to their tuition centre for classes due to the environment that they are now in.

The number of students also increase through word of mouth by each student. Their students actually loved the environment they are in. We hear them celebrate the murals in front of their tutors with a big and loud “WWWOOOOOAAAAAAHHHHWWW”. Our hearts never felt more excited and proud of ourselves.

We never imagine by using murals, we solved a problem for the young children and even brought much creativity and value to the tuition centre. We brought colours and life into a plain tuition centre and transform it into a little wonderland.

One day during our paint job, Foong asked me what if a customer would not like to paint on walls.

“But we are mural painters. It’s literally our JD (Job description) to paint on walls. Without walls we are not mural painters.” says Han

“I mean, lets say we do not paint on walls instead can we still paint?” Foong presses

“What are you trying to say?”

“Canvas. Let’s try to paint on canvas!” Exclaimed Foong.

All we had to do now is paint not on walls but on a piece of cloth. We decided to give it a try since we wanted to push our limits. Transitioning from walls to cloths doesn’t sound so hard.

Han headed to the hardware store the next day to procure wood and nails.
